The Debt VS Diet Challenge

I’ve been cheating on my Healthy Diet Program

I have to tell you a secret… I have been cheating on my Diet Program.
I have not been going to the gym 3 x per week as promised.

Last week the children’s nanny took a vacation, so I had to stay at home with the kids, I did not go to the office, so I did not eat my healthy food.

So, have you cheated lately on your Credit Card Debt Program???

I met several friends today, and I had to help them out with their credit card debt payment program. So… it’s a reminder for myself about my so called Healthy Diet Program, just as it is a reminder for any of you who want to keep up with your Debt Diet Program.

This friend of mine has a credit card debt. It wasn’t a lot. A few million Rupiah in total, spread across 3 credit cards. She promised me that she would be out of debt by April but it didn’t happen. She’s been cheating, she was in Singapore last week for no reason!

It was obvious to me that her problem was : she travels a lot without thinking of what she can afford.

My action plan for this friend is to stop on her credit card spending and use only cash. Just for the next 2 months until she can pay off all her debt.

So, the objective for my friend is : Credit Card Debt Free in June! How amazing is that?

In return, she is telling me that she has cut down 11 kg of her body weight in the last 2 months. This is done through consistent daily routines : having healthy meals, walking on the treadmill 1 hour / day and having fruit for dinner.

I know this is the truth : I’m so lazy to go to the gym, I love Padang food (Sari Ratu, here we come!) and having fruit for dinner is just imagination.

I’ll have too many excuses for my healthy diet program… just as my friend would say with her traveling habit. I don’t think I can go 1 hour at the gym on a daily basis

But I promise myself. I will be going to the gym at least for my walk on the treadmill on Mondays and my yoga classes on Wednesdays.

It’s not good enough, is it?

May be I need a goal. May be? I definitely need a goal. My goal would be : (*sigh* reluctantly) to shape down my weight by 2 kg in 1 month!

We’ll see how much I weigh in June, as my friend is determined to cut off all her credit card debt by June.

That’s a real challenge for both of us…
